Private Training
Our Private Training program begins with an Initial Consultation over the phone to go over your dogs overall well-being, life history, current routine, and your training goals. Following the consult, an individualized training & management plan will be sent to you going over what we will work on during sessions as well as recommendations and homework. You will also receive video tutorials and a Google Drive link to relevant resources.
Puppy clients will receive our full puppy package.
Each training session is specialized for your dog and their specific needs. Lessons can be done in your home, yard, neighborhood, or a nearby location. If you are located outside of our service area, we are more than happy to meet you at a park or quiet area in Chilliwack. You may also inquire about travel fees for training in Agassiz, Hope, and Abbotsford.
If you are unable to be present for training, we can arrange for sessions while we work with your dog one-on-one. Detailed notes will be sent to you following each lesson, and email support is included while working together.

My dog Leo is fear-aggressive and didn’t like kids, other dogs, or other people in general. He was extremely fearful and wouldn’t flight, he would go directly to fight mode to protect himself. They say a dog can tell you a lot about a person, and we have never had a bad experience with Shelby. Leo and Shelby’s bond was amazing to watch. He loved Shelby right from the beginning. Today was one of our last sessions unless we get to a point where I feel Leo and I need some more assistance, and I can honestly say I’m so proud of who Leo and I have become with Shelby by our side. Before Shelby, I was very worried about taking Leo for a walk. We made the mistake of going to Vedder dog park and walked the trail, and Leo was over threshold the entire time and was barking and lunging at everyone. That made me, as a dog owner, feel defeated and horrible for putting Leo and others into such a bad situation. We went into the forest, and I was hiding behind trees until everyone walked by so I could get us off the trail. Today I can finally say we successfully walked part of the trail, and we had no bad encounters. Leo was super engaged with me and Shelby, and it was such a good feeling. We had a little girl on a bike startle all three of us as she came out of left field right in front of Leo, and there was no lunging, no barking, just a wonderful emergency U-turn to prevent any bad behaviour.
I highly recommend Shelby at Dog Centered. Very patient and will move at your dog's pace. Will definitely reconnect with Shelby for parallel walks in the future."

Parallel Walks
We will meet up with you and your dog for a parallel walk. This service is for existing clients who want to practice their skills hands-on. Build positive associations with the help of a trusted trainer and helper dog. Meet up with your trainer and their helper dog at a quiet location in Chilliwack. We will walk together on-leash at a distance that is safe and comfortable for your dog.
